THE PAINTED TABLE - HOUSE OF THE DRAGON

One of my last jobs on season 1 was to help re-vision the painted table, Claire had a strong idea of what she was after so the brief was really clear but there was still a lot of room to get really creative, we tried a number of different bases , some very brutal and others more organic. in the end brutality won the fight. All the way through Claire really wanted the table to be lit from bellow, so the materials we aimed to imitate were yellow fluorite yellow scapolite and golden agate, with the black of the table formed from an obsidian type material. When the final table was revealed in the last episode of the show - seeing it lit up was incredible, it was such an amazing piece, Craig Narramore's prop team did an amazing job.
