VHAGAR'S DRAGON SADDLE - HOUSE OF THE DRAGON

House of the Dragon Season 1 , I was the Set Dec Concept Artist for Claire Nia Richards. I concepted many of the props and hero set pieces as well as a number of action props.
I was also tasked with creating the Dragon saddles, this was a really incredible opportunity where by I was able to work closely with the show runners. We basically wrote the rule book on dragon saddles.
The first saddle to be completed was Vhagar, Vhagar's saddle was meant to be old worn and damaged with years of wear and tear, as well as a history of multiple riders, the saddle has been on her back for so long that her scales skin and spikes have grown through and fused with the it. I like to think of Vhagars saddle as - the Mad max of saddles, its a butchered and adapted , hardy and formidable.
